Chef Lainee's New Creation

Ooh La La, we have a new chef in the family. Lainee is spreading her 4 year old wings and trying new things...things that may not be delicious to all, but perhaps to some. Her newest creation is - are you ready for this - wheat bread spread with honey and dipped in copious amounts of ranch dressing. YIKES. She keeps asking me to try it out, and although I want to encourage my childrens creative endeavours, I am not willing to play guinea pig. Sorry Bugsy. Love ya anyway. Ya never know, maybe someday there will be a big demand for honey and ranch sandwiches. And our Lainee will be able to say 'that was MY idea!'

Sick. That reminds me of Quinn's peanut butter and turkey sandwiches he ate EVERYDAY at that age. I wouldn't try it either. I told him he got that from my grandpa Hatch. Once, he made a quesadilla, and dipped it in raspberry jam. I told my Papa I thought that was probably the grossest thing I'd ever seen. Then I tried it, and it seriously was VERY good. I still eat it like that occasionally. But I will not try peanut butter and turkey. When you add meat to the equation, it just seems very wrong. Gag. But go Lainers with your creativity!

That is disturbing (on an eating level) but wonderful (on a creativity level). My question is, does SHE eat it, or just want everyone ELSE to try it??! I love kids!

I have one for you! My Husband loves to put Ranch Dressing and BBQ sauce on his....Frozen Burritos! With cheese! He also takes a fried egg with melted cheese on it, on a toasted english muffin and tops that with the BBQ sauce and the ranch dressing. I must say, I LOVE IT!!! I thought it would be the most disgusting thing ever, but it wasn't! Sometimes crazy combinations DO work! But, my husband is still crazy ! :) ! ( that's why he is my husband)

She also made a very yummy dessert with Grandma with angel food cake, brownies, mini chocolate chips, chocolate cool whip and banana slices. She isw always wanting to play Ratatouille (had to look that one up to spell!)and she is always the little chef! But first, she had to "lick the cool whip lid so it was clear!" Love that little Lainee!

That's as bad as my PB and mayo sandwiches. The thought is making me gag right this second. I can totally see her growing up to be a chef. With a tiny spatula in her hand at all times. haha.
